Thailand's Future Young Leaders from the Perspective of The KMIDS Director

“It’s Time for Thai Students to Become World Leaders,” said Dr. Punnama

As advanced technology has completely transformed the structural characteristics of today’s livelihoods—becoming the necessary part of our lives, it’s undeniable that the traditional education is no longer enough for Thai students.

With this proclamation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Punnama ‘Nok’ Siriphannon, KMIDS’s director, has applied her expertise in science and administration to remodel education at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang International Demonstration School (KMIDS). At KMIDS, teachers will focus on the problem-based learning instead of lecture-based classes.

Therefore, students are well prepared to reach their true potential as they are trained to solve real- world problems through critical thinking and the scientific method. KMIDS also includes robotics and coding in their educational curriculum in order to foster 21stCentury skills and lead the way in developing future Masters of Innovation who are full of inspiration and imagination.

On March 5th, 2021, at the Air Force Convention Hall, the Thai Social Foundation, renowned for its promotion of high ethical standards in Thai society, bestowed upon Assoc. Prof. Dr. Punnama Siriphannon the prestigious “Person of The Year 2021” title in “Organizational Development” for her dedicated leadership at KMIDS and the KMITL Office of the Registrar.
