KMIDS Child Safeguarding Policy
At KMIDS, the safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. Our Child Safeguarding Policy is designed to create a secure learning environment where students can thrive, in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the 2003 Thai Child Protection Act. All new staff members joining KMIDs receive safeguarding training within the first week of their employment. The training is done either internally by the DSL/DDSL or externally certified through Encompass Safeguarding Ltd or through National College. All members of the KMIDS Child Safeguarding Team is trained up to Level 3 through Encompass Ltd and our school is SAFE Certified. In addition, staff members are required to report any suspected abuse, neglect, or concerns for a child’s welfare, ensuring immediate intervention by trained professionals. Employees must adhere to strict professional standards, including appropriate relationships with students, the responsible use of student images, and clear guidelines for one-on-one interactions. The KMIDS Child Safeguarding Team is responsible for reviewing and enforcing these policies, handling incidents with confidentiality and care. Through safe recruitment practices, regular staff training, and student education on personal safety and rights, we are committed to protecting every child in our care. Visitors to our campus must follow strict security procedures, and any reported safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly through a structured investigation process. By working together, we ensure that KMIDS remains a safe and supportive environment for all students.
