KMIDS Students Make Their Mark! Develop Innovative “Automated Baggage Delivery System” to Solve Airport Issues, Copyright Notified

Two talented students from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang International Demonstration School (KMIDS) has made waves by developing “Mercury Travel Apprentice”, an automated luggage delivery simulation system designed to tackle the global issues of lost, misplaced, or stolen baggage in airports. Their project doesn’t just imagine the future—it builds it.

Utilizing identity verification and RFID technology, the system ensures that each passenger receives their luggage securely and efficiently. The innovation not only earned recognition at the Maker Robotics Challenge 2023, held under the theme “Innovations for Thailand’s Industry,” but also reached a significant milestone by securing an official copyright certificate from Thailand’s Department of Intellectual Property. The school also provides legal consultation to support students in applying for intellectual property protection, ensuring their innovations are properly safeguarded under Thai law.

This achievement is a reflection of KMIDS’s hands-on, STEM-integrated education approach. Through programs like the Science Fair, Robotics Lab, and Innovation Showcase, students are encouraged to think critically, solve real problems, and turn ideas into tangible technological solutions with real-world impact.

At KMIDS, we don’t just teach students to prepare for the future—we empower them to create it. Because here, we believe that “world-changing innovation can begin in high school.”
